Science For society is a Registered Organisation under Society Reg. Act 1950 (Registration No. 543/1983-84) and is a Registered organization in Niti-Ayog. Govt. of India. The society was inaugurated by the then Vice-Chancellor, Patna University. Dr. Kedar Nath Pd. (Prof. of Economics) and Dr. G.P.Sinha, was in the Chair. Prof. S.K.Mishra, was the first President with Dr. S.K.Ganguli as Secretary.
The National Children's Science Congress is a flagship program of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, which is promoted by the National Council for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC). Whose main objective is to search for science talents by going to every corner of the country and by sprouting scientific consciousness in children, they take them forward in the direction of logical scientific research in the local environment.
